Oh well, at least Beyoncé’s label wisely released the best song off B’Day as the third single, giving her a welcome return to the Top 10.

Beyonce & Shakira Shock The Monkeys

Now, granted, “Beautiful Liar” by wiggly broads Beyoncé and Shakira oughta be beautifully-deleted from existence, but the fact that it’s outperformed what should have been the Arctic Monkeys’s sturdy return to the top of the U.K. singles chart is pretty hot. I hope Alex Turner blew a gasket and beat the other three dorks over the head with his Mercury Prize. It does seem strange, though, that we were spared “Beautiful Liar” hitting #1 in the States.
